QuickStart 4L Race Vest is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Pack with one downfall This thing has been great to run with, but I'm confused about the "Periodically Lubricate O-Ring for Plug-N-Play" message on the bladder. I've noticed that sliding the tube into and out of the bladder has gotten increasingly hard. To the point where I almost can't get it in before a run, and can barely get it out after running to let everything air dry. What am I supposed to lubricate it with? What is the O-ring, and what is Plug-N-Play? None of this means anything to me, but I'd love for the hose to start sliding in and out again. I can't find any info on the website as to how I'm supposed to care for my bladder. Other than that, love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Minimalistic Vest When it comes to long distance running I am a big believer in sticking to the basics and keeping gear as simple as possible. That is why I absolutely love the Quickstart 4L Race Vest. This vest has a clean, simple design. A 1.5 liter bladder holds enough water for about 2.5 to 3 hours. The rear zippered storage pounch is roomy enough to hold extra gear, but not so big that is feels like a backpack. Up front the one decent sized zippered pocket holds my gels, the open elastic pouch fits my phone perfectly. The vest is very adjustable for size. I am 6'4" and 235 pounds and have room to spare. This vest is about as close to "one size fits all" ad you are going to get. The only way I would improve the vest is by adding reflective strips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect This pack works great I love the two front pockets and the design overall is excellent. The nippple works great. It takes very little energy to draw a drink. My favorite thing is that I can run with no shirt and do t even need glide This thing doesn’t move or bounce at all- yet the elastic is still comfortable. There are 2 suggestions I would make though. First, there could be a mark on the bladder that matches the proper end of the plastic top. If you slide the plastic top over the bladder in the wrong directio, it’s really hard to disengage the top to refill. Mine is now marked with a sharpie The other nice thing would be to add insulation around the hose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from PERFECT PACK with Couple Small Things This hydration pack is near perfect. Easy bladder access, crazy light weight and well thought out front pouches. The only things I wish for are straps that wont loosen up and better hydration tube placement. I made fixes for both of these issues but are just that, fixes. I would recommend this pack to any of my friends and would purchase again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect 4.7 out of 5.0 I started getting into longer distances running (50k and 50m runs) and needed a hydration pack. There are a lot of hydration packs out there my buds run with different brands. I use a different Nathan pack for my short runs and love it. I looked on the Nathan website and came across this hydration pack. It had all the features I was looking for that included pouches in front that were large enough to hold my 6 plus phone and nutrition, an area in the back to hold a light jacket and additional goodies, but not too bulky. This hydration pack did just that. It is awesome and the price is the icing on the cake. The only con is the top chest strap seems to come loose during the run. I find myself pulling the strap tight frequently. For reference, I am 5’9” 165 lbs and my chest is 42”.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice and light, but two major issues. I do love the weight of this pack, but I had to return it for two reasons. The first is that the phone pocket was a little bit too big, and as a result my phone bounced up and down the entire run which was distracting. Their old pack had it cinched in place so it didn't move. The second issue is the straw. It really needs to be better secured down lower. It flaps around as you run because there is too much of the hose left over from the place it awkwardly clips in. A big miss, Nathan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hydration pack Got this a few weeks ago used it on several trail runs. Fits great can hardly tell I have it on. Can carry more water then I typically use, my phone, and some energy packs. I let my girlfriend use it on a hike and just ordered another one since she doesn't want to give it back to me because she like it so much.
